History of Audio Bibles for the Blind
Audio Bibles for the Blind has a rich history of serving others. We have had the privilege of serving people around the globe for 33 years!
Audio Bibles for the Blind is a division of Aurora Ministries.
In the early years, a foundation was established to allow Aurora Ministries to get a head start and to underwrite some of the administrative and material expenses necessary to launch what has become a vital world-wide ministry today.
The goal of Audio Bibles for the Blind is to give an Audio Bible completely FREE of charge to anyone who can no longer see or hold a book. This covers a wide variety of people around the world that are challenged with blindness—diseases like Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Optic Neuritis, and Cataracts (to name a few) ... as well as folks who have been afflicted by physical challenges such as Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Downs Syndrome, Paralysis, and others.
We began in a small room located in a home on Long Boat Key, Florida. And now Audio Bibles for the Blind has a recording studio, production floor, and shipping facilities that are located in Bradenton, Florida. We now serve approximately 140 countries annually, have 67 languages available, and have received as many as 2 million requests for Audio Bibles in a given year!
It is a pleasure and a privilege to serve so many people’s spiritual needs in this fashion and we are excited to offer you many opportunities to serve along with us to meet these crucial needs!
