1: What versions of the English Bible do you have?

We have the King James Version (KJV), the New King James Version (NKJV), and the International Children's Bible (ICB).

3: Where is Audio Bibles for the Blind located?

Audio Bibles for the Blind is located in Bradenton, Florida. Bradenton is on the West Coast of Florida just south of Tampa and north of Sarasota. If you happen to be in the area, call to schedule a tour of our facilities. To view a map of where Audio Bibles for the Blind is located, click here. 

4: Who qualifies for a free Audio Bible?

• Those who are legally blind - your vision in the better eye is 20/200 or less with correcting glasses, or your widest diameter of visual field is no greater than 20 degrees. Those who cannot see well enough or focus long enough to read standard print, although you wear glasses to correct your vision. Those who are unable to handle print books or turn pages because of a physical handicap.

• Those who are certified by a medical doctor as having a reading disability due to an organic dysfunction that is severe enough to prevent you from reading in the usual manner.

5: How can I refer a friend to receive a free Audio Bible?

6: How can I refer a patient to receive a free Audio Bible?

OR ask us to send you [by mail] an extra supply of order forms and brochures directly to your office.  Some medical offices also qualify for a simple easel with tear-off order forms - contact us for more information.

7: Are the Audio Bibles on cassette or CD?

The Audio Bibles are available in English in both cassette tape and CD/MP3 formats. (The MP3 Bible allows for quick book and chapter locating with keyboard shortcuts. It will play on most windows based computers, as well as any CD player that is MP3 compatible.)

All of our other languages are available in cassette tape format. (We are currently working on the MP3 format in many languages and will be adding them to the language list as resources become available.)

8: What languages are available?

The Audio Bibles are available in nearly 70 languages. See our language list page for a complete list.

9: Do you have anything special for children?

The Audio Bible is available in the International Childrens Bible for qualifying children or any other qualifying individual who would benefit from a simpler format of the Bible.
The first and the best version translated just for kids! A Bible your children can understand! 

Now, children can more easily understand the Bible. Twenty-one trusted Bible scholars carefully selected words at a third-grade reading level for this translation of the complete Bible.

There is also a Children's Devotional titled, "A Faith to Grow On".  This inspiring devotional from Dr. John MacArthur will help children through their growth spurts of faith. After children have come to accept Christ, a whole new series of questions can flood their hearts and minds. What should I do when I don't understand God? Is there a special way to pray? What if I tell someone about Jesus and nothing happens? As he did in I Believe in Jesus, MacArthur takes these and many more complex questions and presents them in a simple style that young minds can easily understand. He reinforces that understanding with Prayer Starters and daily prompts that help kids to apply their newfound wisdom to their lives each day. A helpful guide for young believers, A Faith to Grow On presents foundational doctrines of the Christian faith in short devotional readings for daily growth.

11: How is Audio Bibles for the Blind funded?

Audio Bibles for the Blind depends on the generosity of financial partners nationwide. We produce approximately 1.5 million cassettes of the Audio Bible annually in nearly 70 languages and ship them to over 135 countries! There are several opportunities available to those who have a desire to help give Audio Bibles to those who cannot see or hold a book.

12: Is there any way my church can be involved?

Your church family can be involved in this exciting ministry by prayer and financial support. If you are interested in being a representative of Audio Bibles for the Blind in your church, please contact us. We would be happy to speak with you, perhaps meet with you, and give you all of the necessary tools to make regular prayer and financial support easy for your church!

13: Is there any way I can be involved?

14: Do you have online giving capability?

Yes! Online giving is quick and easy. Just click here to give.  And remember, 100% of your contribution goes into providing Audio Bibles to those who qualify and so desperately want their own personal Bible.

15: Can I give electronically from my checking account (EFT)?

This is a great way to simplify your life. When you join the Automatic Giving Plan, your gift will be transferred directly each month from your bank account to Audio Bibles for the Blind. A record of each gift will appear on your bank statement.

To join, follow the instructions as given on the page titled "Automatic Giving Plan." You will be asked to first read the agreement and then print out a form that you will mail in to enroll.

Using this option will save time, money and postage. The Automatic Giving Plan allows our administrative expenses to be reduced, putting your gift to work immediately to spread the gospel. Thanks for using this option.

16: Are you a 501(c)3 organization?

Yes.  All gifts to Audio Bibles for the Blind, a division of Aurora Ministries is tax-deductible.  We issue you a receipt within days of receiving your donation and at the end of each year for easy access and tax purposes. (They will be mailed out within the first month of the next calendar year.)

17: Can I take a tour of your facility?

We would love to give you a tour of the Audio Bibles for the Blind recording, production, and administrative offices. If you plan on being in our area please contact us and let us know!
